When adversity arises along your journey don't worry. Just find the reason you started your journey in the first place. Find your purpose. For me, it is my wife, my kids, being obedient to God, and also doing the very best I can each and every day. I knew that at the weight I was, I was only living at a fraction of the potential I have to offer. So last night (and today) I focused on my reasons (or "my why") for starting this journey. I read encouraging words from friends and family, and my resolve got stronger. So when your dark forest moment comes, when that adversity rises up, just focus on the reasons you are on your journey. Regain your view of your milestones and your end goal and then press on. So after a rough day yesterday, my focus is back where it needs to be. I'm refocused and I'm still losing my butter half.
My calorie intake was really good today and even enjoyed some snacks during the national championship game. I use the first half of the game to get an great, up tempo, ride in. Another day in the books (or blog)!
